Determination of silo load path, load distribution and new parameters for design and construction of new silos
A factory floor was first investigated to verify whether the floor slab is on pile or on ground. Then the load test was conducted to justify the load carrying capacity. Oil barrels were used as load application and placed on the test are by forklifts. Load magnitude per agreement was taken to be equivalent […]
Several types and different configurations of anchor bolts were tested for pullout and shear. First of all, M24 and M27 bolts used to support 3 advertisement boards with dimension of 12 m long and 5.65 m height each were tested under both pullout and shear. The pullout and shear loads were measured and plotted against […]
RE Team performed the Precast Slab Load Testing to monitor the structural condition of a school in Phuket.
The Load Carrying cCapacity Analysis is used to determine the capacity of the analyzed members or structures to determine whether the tested structures can carry the given load condition or how much load they can withstand. This analysis is necessary when the design details are missing or when there is uncertainty in the design or construction.
RE conducted the Structural Assessment (including rebound hammer and Ferroscan) and the Load Carrying Capacity Test on the roof top of a 4-story hospital in the Ubonratchathani province, Thailand.
RE conducted the Chemical Anchor Pull Out Test. This chemical anchor was installed on the floor as moment-resisting support of the new column. Thus, this chemical anchor must be able to resist tension force according to the design. In this case, proof load according to the design was applied. Test frames, load cells, displacement transducers, and the data acquisition system were used.
RE was requested to conduct floor load testing in hotel at Chon buri province, Thailand to determine the actual load carrying capacity compared to that specified in the original design.
The Concrete Pull-Off Test is used to determine the direct tensile strength of a concrete or the bond strength of concrete mixture. The testing equipment consists of metal test circular plates, threaded rods, epoxy, a core drill, a load cell, a displacement transducer, and a hydraulic jack.
