Slab on ground Load Testing

RE conducted a load test on a ground slab in a factory on Suksawat road, Samut Prakan. In the design point of view, a ground slab is normally designed using the linear spring distribution support assumption. However, in reality, a ground slab often experiences nonlinear behavior. There are many inconsistent factors, such as temperature, water absorption, ground depth, and soil component, which can affect the support behavior of a slab.

The slab on ground load test project was deemed necessary when there was a plan for new production line machines to be installed. The machines with different weights were placed in different positions. Thus, the load test was conducted according to the layout and the different weights of the machines.  100 kg concrete blocks were used as the test load.
